Renee Zellweger, whose new look has been getting slammed in the press lately, has sold her East Hampton house for a whopping $ 250,000 above asking price, according to the New York Post.

The Post says the Zellweger’s manse on 30 Egypt Lane commanded way more than $ 4.45 million, the listing price when the house hit the market about a month ago. The actress hid her ownership, filing documents saying the owner was photog-pal Bruce Weber, the Post reports. But when word spread that Zellweger was the true owner, a bidding war ensued that spiked the price, according to the Post.

The renovated farmhouse is about 2,000 square feet and boasts four bedrooms, four baths, and a heated pool. Zellweger reportedly bought the house for $ 2.15 million in 2003.

The new owners are Jeffrey Geller, an orthopedic surgeon, and Leigh Geller, a former assistant district attorney for Manhattan, the Post says.
