Fort Hill Players announces audtions for Moises Kaufman’s 33 Variations.  Solid storytelling, and you don’t have to be a Beethoven fan to get into it.  A mother coming to terms with her daughter.  A composer coming to terms with his genius.   Beethoven, obsessed with writing variations on a simple waltz, neglects his famous Ninth Symphony and The Mass.  Katherine Brandt, a 21st Century Beethoven scholar obsessed with discovering his motivation, neglects her own fragile health and jeopardizes her relationship with her daughter. Separated by 200 years, these parallel lives race against time.  Beethoven facing impending deafness, Brandt facing her failing health.  Seeking 3 females, 4 males.
